The Well is growing, and so is the need for a church that is Christ-centered, inclusive, and deeply rooted in community.
For Such a Time as This is our three year initiative to find a permanent home, strengthen our staff, and expand our ministry impact across our region.

Here you can learn about the vision, watch the sermon series, and join the journey.

For Such a Time as This

A defining moment in the life of The Well - expanding our ability to make room for every person seeking hope, healing, and a seat at the table.

Make Your Pledge

Our Progress

$584,120 with 29 total pledges (individuals & families).

Why Now?

Over the last decade, church attendance across the U.S. - and especially in the Midwest - has been in steady decline. Thousands of churches close every year. Younger generations are leaving religion at the fastest rate in history. Most churches are shrinking, aging, or plateauing.

And yet… The Well is a counter-story.
In a cultural moment where belonging is harder to find, our community is growing - not because we're trendy, but because people are hungry for a different kind of church: one that values inclusion, curiosity, integrity, justice, and the radical welcome of Jesus.

Our attendance is rising.
Our giving is rising.
Our engagement is rising.
Our kids and students ministry is bursting.
Our impact in the community is expanding.

This is the moment where mission meets opportunity - and where opportunity meets the limitation of a borrowed space that can no longer hold what God is doing here.
That's why this moment matters.
That's why this is our Such a Time as This.

Worship Attendance

The Well has grown from a living-room dream in 2021 into a thriving, inclusive community gathering weekly with consistency and depth.

Giving & Generosity

We've seen year-over-year increases in generosity - a sign of spiritual ownership and shared vision.

Small Groups & Partners

More people than ever are taking next steps, joining groups, and becoming Partners in the mission.

Kids & Students

Kids ministry is bursting at the seams, and our borrowed space limits our ability to serve the next generation well.

Community Impact

Our partnerships - Pride, Youth In Need, and more - are expanding rapidly.

A Permanent Home

A dedicated home will allow us to grow with stability, expand ministry, and build the most inclusive Jesus-centric movement in our region.

Why The Well?

From the beginning, The Well has been built on a simple conviction:

Your seat at the table can't cost someone else theirs.

We believe the table of Jesus is wide, welcoming, and healing - and that the Church is at its best when everyone, from every background, identity, and story, knows they belong. Not eventually. Not if they clean up first. Not if they agree with everything. But now.

That's why we're stepping into this moment.
Because we're not trying to be the church for everyone; we're trying to be the missing church for the people who never knew they had a place.

We want to keep creating seats at the table until everyone - especially those traditionally told "no" - can hear, see, and feel a resounding "yes."
To keep creating seats.
To keep making space.
To build something that will outlive us - and welcome those who don't yet know they're welcome.

What are we funding ahead of us?

The For Such a Time as This campaign is designed to resource the exact priorities our congregation named at the August 2025 Partner Gathering. Across dozens of responses, three themes emerged clearly. Our church expressed a desire to:

Have a space where we can grow and invite others
Expand our ministries in meaningful and sustainable ways
Never stop fostering connection and communityThis campaign funds these three priorities directly.

Every dollar given supports one of the following areas.

1. A Permanent Worship and Community Space
Our congregation told us they want a home that reflects who we are, supports growth, and allows us to invite others into the life of The Well. Currently, our rented Sunday morning space limits what we can offer throughout the week. Securing a permanent facility will allow us to:

Expand seating capacity on Sundays
Host ministry gatherings, classes, recovery groups, and community events
Offer consistent, safe space for kids, students, and families
Build a recognizable presence in our region
Create a hub for hope, healing, belonging, and faith exploration

A permanent home will give The Well room to grow and space to live out our mission every day of the week.

2. Expanding Staff and Ministry Development
Our church also expressed a desire for expanded ministries and more opportunities for spiritual formation. To meet that need, we are funding:

The transition of key staff into full-time roles
The development of new ministry pathways for children, students, adults, and families
Leadership development and training for those exploring a call to ministry
Creative and digital ministries that extend our reach
Additional pastoral care, discipleship programming, and community engagement

This investment ensures our congregation receives the support, care, and opportunities needed to grow in faith and take meaningful next steps.

3. Strengthening Connection and Community

Connection is the heartbeat of The Well. Our people named it as one of our most important distinctives and one of the areas they want to continue strengthening. This campaign funds the systems, spaces, and support needed to foster deeper belonging, including:

Expanding small groups and community gatherings
Creating more opportunities for Partners to serve, connect, and lead
Developing a healthy, accessible next steps pathway for newcomers
Increasing pastoral presence and relational touchpoints
Ensuring we have infrastructure that scales with our growth

This commitment keeps us grounded in our mantra that your seat at the table cannot cost someone else theirs.

Our Commitment

Every dollar in this campaign is directed toward building the kind of church you told us you believe in: A church with room to grow.
A church offering meaningful, transformational ministries. A church where community remains central, no matter how much we grow. This is the work we are funding. This is the future we are building.

And we are building all of this together.
